1.The agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Agentarchy Labs Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India with its office in Pune, Maharashtra, India (“Agentarchy”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of Sage — the Sage apps for iPhone and Mac, the Sage Chrome extension, Sage’s phone number and messaging channels, and the services behind them (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2.Who can use Sage

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to form a binding contract to use Sage. Sage can send messages, place calls and, if you allow it, make purchases on your behalf, so it is not offered to minors.

An account is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods and devices secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at privacy@agentarchy.ai if you believe someone else has accessed it.

3.What Sage is, and the beta

Sage is a personal AI assistant. It reads what you connect to it, remembers what you tell it, and takes actions for you — drafting and sending messages, managing your calendar, researching, running scheduled routines, placing calls, working in your own Chrome browser through the extension, and operating your Mac if you grant it that access.

Sage is in private beta. Features change, are added and are removed without notice; data formats change; and things break. Do not rely on Sage as the only place something important is kept, or as the only way a time-critical task gets done.

4.When Sage acts on your behalf

You authorise Sage to take the actions you ask for, and the actions it reasonably takes to complete a task you have given it. Actions Sage takes within that authority are taken on your behalf, and you are responsible for them as if you had taken them yourself — including messages sent in your name and agreements accepted for you.

What asks first

By default, Sage asks for your explicit approval before it sends an email or message, places a phone call, posts on your behalf, spends money, or deletes files or calendar events. Reading, searching, summarising, browsing and drafting do not ask: Sage does those as part of answering you. Other changes you ask for in a conversation — for example updating a Notion page or a GitHub issue, or moving files on your Mac — can also run without a card. Where that line falls for a given action is set in the product and is a judgement call; if you find a case on the wrong side of it, tell us and we will treat it as a defect.

What can run without a card

Some settings, most of which you choose, let actions run without asking each time:

Review what Sage does on your behalf, especially early on and whenever you widen what it may do alone. You can narrow these settings, or remove a rule, at any time in the app.

Payments and purchases

Purchases are off by default. If you turn on “Sage may pay”, every purchase still shows you a confirmation built from the checkout page before it is paid, and Sage refuses any purchase above the limit you set. You are responsible for purchases you approve, and for the payment methods and accounts they use. The merchant is the seller in every purchase; Agentarchy is not a party to it, and the merchant’s own terms, refunds and delivery apply.

Calls and messages to other people

When Sage calls someone for you it introduces itself as an AI assistant calling on your behalf. You are responsible for having the right to contact the people you ask Sage to contact, and for complying with the laws that apply to those calls and messages where you and they are — including rules on consent, recording, marketing and unsolicited communications. Sage may limit when, where and how often it calls. Do not use Sage for marketing, sales, political or bulk calls, or to call emergency services. Sage is not an emergency service.

5.Connected accounts and third-party services

When you connect an account — Google, GitHub, Notion and others — or point Sage at a website, you authorise Sage to access and use it for you. Those services’ own terms still apply to you, and Sage acting for you does not exempt you from them. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, their content, or what they do with information you send them.

6.AI output

Sage uses AI models. Its answers, summaries, drafts and actions can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it can misread a message or a page. Check anything important before you rely on it. Sage does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax or other professional advice, and nothing it produces should be treated as such.

7.Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sage, or let Sage be used, to:

8.Your content

What you put into Sage — your messages, notes, memory, files, and the data from accounts you connect — remains yours. Agentarchy claims no ownership of it, and does not sell it, rent it, or use it to train models. You give us permission to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Service to you and to keep it secure. Where it goes and who processes it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative page on data handling.

Content Sage generates for you is yours to use, subject to the rights of others in anything it draws on. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

9.Fees and usage

The beta is free. There is no subscription, no card on file, and no billing of any kind today. Each account has a weekly usage allowance, measured by the cost of the AI work done for it and shown in Settings. When the week’s allowance is used up, Sage pauses running tasks, keeps their progress, and resumes them when the allowance resets; nothing is charged. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before they apply to you, and you will not be charged for anything you have not agreed to.

10.Availability and changes

There is no uptime guarantee. Sage runs on a single cloud server; while it is restarting, being updated, or stopped, Sage does not answer, and scheduled routines may run late or be skipped. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. When a change materially affects what Sage may do on your behalf, or what happens to your data, we will tell you in the app first.

11.Ending your use

You can stop using Sage at any time, and export or delete your data and your account from Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if the beta ends. Unless the reason is abuse or a legal requirement, we will give you notice and a chance to export your data first. Sections that by their nature should survive — including those on content, disclaimers, liability and governing law — survive the end of these Terms.

12.Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, during a beta and free of charge. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that actions taken by Sage will achieve the result you intended.

13.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Agentarchy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms — including losses caused by an action Sage took on your behalf, a missed or mistaken message, or data lost to a failure. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (today, nothing) and ₹5,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the monetary cap above does not apply to you where your local law does not allow it, and we remain responsible for damage to your device or digital content caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

You agree to indemnify Agentarchy against claims by third parties arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, to the extent the law allows.

14.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next paragraph, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Before starting proceedings, please write to us at privacy@agentarchy.ai so we can try to resolve the matter.

If you use Sage as a consumer and live in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada or another country whose law gives you rights that cannot be excluded by contract, nothing in these Terms takes those rights away, and you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live where that law allows it.

15.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top changes with every update. For a material change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; if you keep using Sage after that, you accept the updated Terms.
